Everything started in 2019, when I volunteered (or rather, demanded) to design my big sister’s wedding suite. A graphic designer by trade, it was always a struggle to feel like I was honoring my artistic drive while in a creative career: unfortunately, being a designer is not at all being a fine artist. There’s structure and process and high standards, which I need, but a little room for whimsy and imperfect creativity, which I love. Doing my sister’s wedding suite, the crest, the illustrations, the fonts, the website… it was exhilarating, a perfect marriage of fine art, design, and craft. I knew that even on the side, this was a path I needed to pursue. It brings me so much joy to help my clients bring their wonderful, silly, cosmopolitan dreams come to life.

Everything is hand-crafted in my home in Pacific Heights in San Francisco, California, although my inspiration and craft was born in Miami (like me), and my influences grew in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Savannah, Georgia, where I grew up and attended school, respectively. My work is a subversive twist on the exceptionally traditional art of stationery and portraiture still very much alive in the South: polite and beautiful without a trace of conservatism.
